Puremagnetik's Punchpak brings back fond memories of playing an NES game called Bayou Billy as a kid. The game itself was frustrating and the game play left a lot to be desired, but it was that game that made me realize how incredibly awesome video game music was. Punchpak is a sample library featuring a collection of classic sounds from the Nintendo gaming console.
Punchpak brings 80's nostalgia back with lo-fi sampled sounds in 8 bit, keeping those nice, square waves true to form. Patch names include "Zelda,""Castlevania," and "Mega Man," emulating some of the most memorable MIDI masterpieces in gaming history.
With the surge of popularity and recognizability of video game music and effects streaming back into music after a 20 year interval, Punchpak is a useful arsenal of sounds to have in a now 24-bit world.
• Classic 8-bit Nintendo sounds.
• Fully Programmed Audio Effects
• Rack & Macro Programming for Live 6
• Glitch & Lo-Fi Effects Menus
• Easy Edit KSP Interfaces for Kompakt 2
• Each instrument - has customized racks with Macro controls.
